10 Ways to Revitalize Your Mental & Emotional Well-Being!

Life happens, but that doesn't mean we need allow it to get the best of us. Even in the most hectic times there is always time to refill our cup. Lack of self-care shouldn't be worn like a badge of honer. Slow down give yourself the love you deserve. Below are ten ways to bring yourself back to a place of calm and balance. 

  1. Expect Miracles – Look for 10 daily experiences that bring gratitude and appreciation.
  2. Fasting – Eat between 11am and 7pm or whatever window is best for your body, while drinking 8 glasses of water a day.
  3. Cold Showers/Plunges – Jump into a lukewarm shower then turn the temp down as far as it goes for the last 2 minutes or more. Or jump into a cold bath for 5 minutes.
  4. Journaling – Write down what's troubling you and why you're equipped to overcome it.
  5. Visualization – Script out an experience you want for yourself in the near future and share how it makes you FEEL with all five sense as well as emotionally. Close your eyes and imagine yourself thriving in the visualization.
  6. Exercise – Give those muscles some love even if it is just a 5 - 10 min daily stretch.
  7. Tapping (EFT) – Give yourself calm by practicing emotional freedom technique. Don't have a program no problem head over to YouTube and search tapping. 
  8. Ground Yourself – Really feeling the stress? Find a nice patch of grass take off your shoes and connect to the earth. Let your mind go blank.
  9. Speak with a Coach, Mentor, Therapist, Etc. – You're not alone and you DON'T need to figure everything out all by yourself. It's a sign of self-love working with someone. You cant fill the cup of others if yours is depleted.
  10. Breathwork – Practicing breath work is one of the quickest ways one can can bring their self back to center and calm. 
 
Accountability Check
  1. Use a post-it note and leave directions on your bathroom mirror, car dashboard, workplace, or fridge reminding yourself to do what it takes.
  2. Set reminders in your phone to go off when it's self-care time.
  3. Instead of a gym buddy or workout partner, commit to your personal & professional development tasks with a friend.
  4. Write your affirmations on your bathroom mirror and read them every time you're making yourself pretty.
